The Appalachian Mountains are home to a vastly diverse people. Hillbillies and homesteaders, bootleggers and Baptists, but when it comes to ecclesiastical matters, churches look eerily similar. Resistance to these cultural preferences is not recommended for your safety. But why are these trappings held in high regard? Is there a better way to worship Jesus in these mountains that we're missing? Or are the old ways really better?
